Hello. Sorry if the topic was already discussed - in this case please give me a link to the discussion and close this topic. Anyway, I would like to see a small improvement in forum gold transactions.

For now, if I will give first, I can be scammed. Even with scammer accusations report, the scammer still can send fg to a friend (pretending he is byuing something) and ... it is lost with no refund. And - there is much people who have "I never give first" in their sig. Of course I can ask a mediator, but it is always bothering someone else.

My suggestion: implement option for temporary fg lock with variable time of locking.

How would it work:

- I am paying fg first, selecting option "lock for 24 hours" (or 12, or 48... few options)

- Now I can't withdraw fg given, but other guy cant spend it either, until either 24 hours pass or I will unlock the fg. He can be sure that he will get the fg - in worst case he will just have to wait a while for it - so he can give me the item without fear.

- after "t4t" - I am going into my gold transactions , and near the details of this particular, I have "unlock" button. Pressing it and other guy can use fg freely.


Now, if I sent the fg but other man was a scammer:

I am not unlocking his fg. I can't get it back by myself, but he can't spend it either. I am posting a "scammer accusations" topic.
If he is tagged as scammer, all locked transactions are automatically given back to senders. Thus - I am getting my fg back. No gain for scammer, no loss for me.

Sounds intresting, but wouldnt it cause mass false accusations?
e.g.
someone paid and received the item, but still is accusing someone (just for fun!?!) or blocks his fg from being used
I think it might have been hard to control ;/

if this happens on jsp, i assure you there will me MASS lockings everywhere.

Why would it *cause* false accusations?... I don't really understand.
Accusation should be proved, not just saying "he scammed me"... and I guess the one who accuses falsely more than once will be warned or banned.

Details of the lock (especially lock time) can be discussed via PM before the trade. After trade the sender has possibility for unlocking instantly.

But some poeple are mean and would abuse it, would keep others' fg locked, just to have fun out of it, no thx.

yes i think the same. We should find a way for no fasle accusation.

Im not biased at all, but imo leave it as it is now and let mediators do their job.

Imagine newb calling a medi for 5fg trade.:) And thaf 5fg can be much for him...
And about false accusations - can I falsely accuse someone just for fun?... no action from mods in this case?
Also, only the fg from that particular transaction will be locked. The receiver can still use his other fg freely.
