in my opinion you should change the possiblity of editing the first post.
there should be a way for the threadstarter to edit his very first post every 4hours (like bumping)
so he can delete what he does not need anymore! why?
most ppl read only 1st post and then offer items, the person already has since ages.
would decrease spam and useless posts imo.

summary: allow to edit the FIRST POST for THREADSTARTER every 4hour (bumprule)
I dont see anything that speaks against it to be honest

oh and btw, I was going to make it as pool but forgot.
so here my next suggestion: if no reply in a thread you should be able to delete it by yourself.
would decrease spam again -.-
