My idea is to have a filter on how you view events.
Instead of viewing according to when the event is over, you view them from the most recent post.
For example, a service thread is made to last 2months (60days) and is posted in My events.
It will show up towards the middle\bottom of the list because it isn't going to end for 2months.
Thus, it is not well advertised and does not attract the audience well.
I suggest having a toggle setting that would allow you to view events according to the last post.
Like on the forums, popular threads that get bumped, etc are shown higher than those inactive threads that die out.
This way you can view events\services that are popular at the time, and there is better advertising for service threads and events.
Take note: You can toggle between the current setting and this setting.

The whole point of an event is finding ones that are happening at a SPECIFIC TIME. Comments are not an indicator of WHEN an event is actually taking place, nor even if the hoster is even there are ALL. Hence, the reasons FORUMS don't work well, 99%+ of all service topics in the forums, and their replies, either never get a reply, or never get seen by the author (the author disappears).
That said, I may give a clickable column to sort by different means. Make a site suggestion.
Thanks for your time!
