So, what I notice in the trading grounds, many people will make a topic, trying to trade their items. Because the forum is flooded with posts, their topic is knocked off the first page. Within 2 or 3 minutes, the user has posted again, making it an early bump.

My suggestion I guess would be, for those threads that are closed due to an early bump, the user should not be able to see their original post.

This would make it so the user has to re-write what they have for trade, or copy + paste it from a word pad or something. This in my opinion might make some people not early bump because they are too lazy to re-write their whole ft list.

Something similar to when a post is "Inapropriate post content" So you can't see what was previously there, but for early bumped threads :)

Let me know what you think.

They can always copy/paste it into the Notepad.

Kids are gonna early bump and early repost until mods start warning for it.

But I'm not gonna say no, because your suggestion couldn't possibly hurt.

I voted no because everyone would just type everything in their notepad and just make a new thread when their original gets closed.

Terrible idea..if you didnt mark out some things on your list you might forget what you've sold and it just creates hassle for you and your potential buyer.

Well, early bumping is a terrible idea. There should be more consequences for doing it than just a thread closing because people will still remake. I just feel if there is something like this done, it might stop some people from doing it. Obviously it will not stop them all. I am not saying that if they make posts with the scratched out items, they should be closed or w/e. I'm saying the ft list. This should only happen if the user is early bumping.. If you don't early bump, it would not happen to you.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are getting at, or how that is a bad thing? It would not effect you or I any differently, unless it was you that was early bumping.

I know early bumping can be both good and bad, i admitt ive done, on more then one occasion, but sometimes its the only way to get items sold, other then flooding the channel with threads on the same topic.

I used to fullly abide by the 4 hour bump rule, but i never sold anything, when i learned early bumps did work, i started selling stuff.

however one of my threads got closed because of it, so im off it for fear of getting a warm rating or something.

maybe we could make it so that the creator of the tread can't early bump it, they can only get bumps when the 4 hour timer is done.

that would permanently solve the problem, assuming no one makes duplicate accounts to bump their own accounts.

I vited no, because i am one of the lazy ones, but, even if i did lose it, it wouldnt deter me from my mission.
