One of my friends told me that he can't post in the Political and Religious Discussion forum anymore because he had a warn. I think that this was implemented within the past day or so. Anyway, it has been a 20% limit for the past couple years or so and I was wondering if we could revert back to that. The PaRD population is small enough as it is and with this new rule in effect, the amount of active members is now cut in half. Could we revert back to the 20% limit please :)

All comments are welcome.

If you recieved warn, that mean you dont obey the rules, if you dont obey them you will be punished.

The 20% warn cap was very effective in the past. It got rid of the spammers/flamers and it allowed you some space in case you did break a rule (sig too big, going off topic in a political debate, etc.) Anyway, would you be in favor making it so you can't post at all on jsp if you have a warn?

If I make warn that wont allow me to post in JSP it will be because I deserv it. So like I said with this new update, you will think twice befor getting warn.

It has been my experience that if a PaRD poster hits 20% they back off the attacks fearing the dreaded 30 % . I really don't mind mind the new cap and I certainly hope we never see access for those with long " cool bars " . It would make even a 2 or 3 page discussion impossible and the most common post would be attacks on religious belief .

I actually received a death threat in my PM box yesterday because of my support for the new Christian Fellowship forum so I guess I am not in a very tolerant mood today .

You also have to look at the practical side of things. There are a lot of people in PaRD who just make new accounts to post in the forum. Hence, there will be more multis on this site with this rule.

I absolutely oppose the "no tolerance" policy adopted in the last day or so. Many of the best posters and contributors of PaRD have warns and the warns they hold have absolutely no relevance to the sub-forum of PaRD itself.

Not to mention that to be consistent with this policy the administrative team here would have to implement the no warn rule on any forum that is more or less "privileged" including donor's forum, entertainment based forums (music and the like,) literature forum, etc.

It is a privelage to post, not a right. There are guidlines set fourth to enforce this. People who can't follow the rules are then punished as a way to help them better understand the rules. This is necessary especailly in these areas.

So, would you be in favor of implementing this policy on the entire site?
