I browse the general help area of the forums every now and then, and it pains me to say it....

The quality of help being giving has gone down the toilet... it seems people are just trying to copy/paste a generic link, that often has nothing to do with the question asked...

I understand people are working towards trusted tags, but maybe if the emphasis could be put on the quality of the answer, isntead of who can copy/pasta the fastest, we could reverse the trend in general help

Stop redirecting people to other forums, someone asks a networking question, and people link the programing forums.... Networking and programming have nothng to do with each other, lol....

and the worst new trend, is pointing people to GENERAL CHAT

have any of you tried to post in general chat, LOL...

The problem is. 95% of the issues people have are in the general help unified sticky. A lot of people like the fact people are quick to provide direction. No posts by helpers are spam and are on topic. Yes, a lot are generic because they are straight from the gen help sticky. We are merely helping out.
