I think you should always be able to edit your first post of a trade thread without the ability of editing it to expire.

This would give people an opportunity to update current offers right on the first page, change, or post their bin if they didn't have one when they posted the thread.

Because people do not always look through the entire thread for current offers, bins, etc.

This way, people who are interested in the item won't necessarily have to look through the thread to find a c/o or a bin, the seller can edit and post right on the first page

Also an opportunity for people to update a for trade list, so that people don't keep asking for an item you may have already sold

I personally think this is a great idea, let me know what you think jsp.

someone already pm'd me about this being a possibility and i disagree that it will make it easier for people to scam

because think about it, MOST people post in a thread before they pm the person for a game name

if the person who got scammed posts in the thread (even if the first post has been edited), that could be part of the proof of being scammed, 2nd part, the pm screenshot

making sure you state what you're buying in the pm screenshot is proof

3rd piece, in game screenshots and trade screen screenshots

if the person wouldn't have had enough proof of someone scamming in the first place, then the ability of a scammer to always edit their post doesn't really mean anything
