Currently the guild topic looks like what the notebox used to be, I like how the style has changed in the notebox but as all the controversy from the GC disappearing leads to, I think we should have the ablility to purchase a Guild Topic somewhere in a forum or have it be like the guild notebox and have it public and with the post limit the old GC had. This way it will be similar to the old system and we can all chat again and look at posts made long ago as well as Paul gets to make his money.

1k - 2k for a guild topic with unlimited posts? I'm sure every guild can round up that much somehow.

This already exists, you can extend your notebox by 25 posts for 250 forum gold. There is no option however for "unlimited" posts.
The new notebox/Guild Topic system looks exactly like a topic used to, the only difference is there's no edit. I'm sure that will be added soon.

The new notebox has an unlimited edit feature afaik, I can edit pin'd posts from long ago.

Also exactly my point, 250 posts is not nearly enough for almost any guild. I like to go through old posts and sometimes look for something that was posted long ago. It isn't just me, there are many more who want to have GC back but this would be just as good if we could have a place that looked like old GC & could post again without them being pruned, also it makes it hard to hold guild events, tracking it would also be nice, since when I get on my tracked topics is the first place to check. Many people are in favor of bring back GC although I think this would be just as good

The whole point of moving to the new system is that hundreds of guilds have created topics with hundreds if not thousands of pages or posts, and this created mass siteload.
If we allow unlimited posts, the whole thing is pointless.

The problem with GCs was site load and weight on the server. That's why it was changed.
Whatever is important enough can be pinned in the guild topic.

It would be so much easier if Paul would stop beng so greedy and go back to the way it was. It was perfectly fine.

I call, "Bull shit".
Paul is trying to encourage people to buy FG to keep their guild happy.

The old system is gone but I'm sure we may be able to convince him to let us purchase guild chat threads. This way we all can be happy and comprimise. He would make just as much off this as the IM and the IM would be still utilized.

This is just encouraging people to text/IM outside of JSP.
Paul is losing people, slowly, off of this stupid update.

To be honest if something isn't done about GC I am quitting jsp and so are many others. It's all I get on here for.
The IM is no reason to kill GC, it is a nice update but killing GC was not the way to go/utilize IM.
