In theory the instant message idea is okay..but the thing is (at least with my guild) that not every1 lives in the same timezones so we are never on at the same time. That means when i post stuff, they read it later on that day/tomorrow and reply and that way we all keep in touch.

with the new IM system, you are basically only able to stay in touch with the people in your timezone..as they will be the only ones on when you are...so basically now i won't ever talk to half the people in my guild without the chat.

I vote bring them back, especially since it has to be live chat. We use it to communicate in passing, without filling our mailboxes.

IM is a great idea but the way it's being used is horrid, bring back guild chats!

They should co-exist, all I get on jsp is to talk to my guildies and have events with them in the guild chat.....this is not possible in IM or notebox
