I've recently had a couple of my posts closed in the sports forum, and I'm wondering why they are being closed for being off-topic when they are completely relevant. There are spam posts flying everywhere in the forum, and mods rarely close it (I'm talking sports forum), and I can see the fact that they may be busy. But when my posts get closed and they are completely topical, it sort of irritates me that so much spam can be allowed while useful topics are not. And again, I'm sure I could just PM the mod and get it worked out, except I can't see who closed it so I don't know who to PM. I think this feature would be extremely useful in helping people figure out WHY what they are doing is wrong.

--or perhaps when you get a post closed, the mod types a brief comment and it sends it to you via PM? idk
