so yea, we need more trusted tags


heres my idea


under our warn bar, theres a little button that says 'trusted tracker' (or whatever you want to call it)

after are 500 unique users click that button [think about how many people that is, really -- 500 individual people trust this guy enough to click his button -- then the name gets sent automatically to a senior med who spends an hour searching and reading his posts


then the med decides if he should b trusted



---- it seems to me the reason why there aren't many trusted tags out there is because its impossible to keep track of all of us .. the reality is that trusted is by the users -- if 500 people think the guy is trusted, its worth an hour to look at him and decide



if 500 isn't enough, then make it 1000 -- either way, it will take at least a year, probably more like 2 or 3 to get that many individual votes

could be abused, has been suggested before and i doubt it will happen.
and, imo there are quite a lot of mediatiors, the waiting time isnt really long imo.

People can just ask their friends to vote for them...or worse.

The way you want it to be done seems like vouching for someone, which is meaningless.
Old way works fine imo, so no thanks.

i'm not talking about waiting for a mediated trade

it would be nice for good mannered users to get some sort of recognition -- and also, for a new guy to come in and be able to say 'hey, that guy has a little note on him saying he's trustable'


i think this, or some other form of showing that a user has been trusted by the jsp community would be helpful


we have warns and scammer tags -- why should there be a way to show bad manners without a way to show good?



i don't think that we need a ton of meds, i really don't -- but the site feels like a catholic church (i'm catholic) -- we go njag... the pope -- the meds... the priests -- and the trusted tags ... the four or five active deacons in a diocese ... the creation of either a new tag or the use of the little used trusted for people without authority but that are respected by the users will make the site feel like a community that users can be a part of -- not just a trading site

I don't think you do.
I have never had a mediator contact me in under an hour, usually longer.
The fastest mediation i had was with jeff (clifford) and that is because i was on vent with him.
Other than that i have stoped using mediators because i grow tired of waiting for them.

I like this idea, tho i feel it should be altered, instead of sending to a senior mod, have a button you go to the persons profile.
When there you click "yes i trust this person" or "no i would not trust this person"
And after you click one, your name goes to a list of people that clicked yes/no.
You and everyone else on d2jsp can read this list, you can only vote once, restrict it to 1k+ posts can vote to somewhat avoid from making a lot of unknown multi's to vote.

This is just how i feel tho.

i suppose if you have 500 -1000 friends to vote for you, sure --- but the med can look at the list... if all 500 are in your guild... or all have like 2 posts... or all are recent joins... he just says no -- game over


and tomek... you're one of about 10 trusted tags i've seen since 2007... you'll excuse me if i think your opinion is a little biased :-)

it hasn't been for me in my one or two requests


and if a trade requires a med, its worth waiting an hour to make
