Topic. As my suggestion would imply, when you make a thread here on D2JSP, you are only able to edit your first post (and subsequent posts thereafter) for a limited amount of time. I find this to be particularly annoying, especially in trade topics, where your first post is the main center of attention.

More often than not i've tried to update my "Current offer" in my first post, or add/remove a certain piece of dialogue that didn't fit. However, after a few pages or so of posts, the Edit button is removed from your older posts.

I don't understand the reasoning behind this. What good reason is there to remove the edit button after a certain amount of posts? Why even have the edit button to begin with if you're going to implement something like this?

If anything, this promotes spam, because I like to keep my updates where people can see them, rather than on the last page. I'm always making new topics to get around this issue.

Again, if someone can provide me a legitimate reason as to why this is so, please, have at it. If not though, this is clearly a flaw and needs to be changed.

Users can potentially use edits to scam, I guess.

And it's after half an hour..use an image for a trade list if you're that mad about it.

They can STILL do so, they just have a smaller window of opportunity. It's not really fixing the problem at all (assuming that IS the problem).

There's no point. We should be able to edit our posts whenever we want.
