I didn't appreciate the way he handled this, so I won't spoil the fun, you guys get to see the whole conversation which includes an idea to effectively increase use of the events section for services and reduce service threads in the trading forums. Grab some popcorn ;)

All Services Must be providedor iso Through the My Events Forum
(This includes linking your My Events Page to the Trading Grounds)
Please stop offering services outside of my events. This is your verbal warning to stop

The theory behind the 'events' section is nice, but it does not work because not enough people ever bother to look at it. I don't want to waste time rushing one person for 15fg and have to pay a someone else 15fg to act as a bumper, therefore earning a net 0 fg doing the job. Likewise I do not want to 'plan' a grush days ahead of time in hopes that enough people will see the event that I might get 3 or 4 rushees to come along and pay me. By the time the date and time roll around for the rush to occur, and I contact the people signed up, every one of them will tell me they found someone else and had the rush completed already. What you are asking me to do is illogical if I want to rush people to earn some fg. If you really want to make an impact in changing where services are offered and sought, change where the customers look, providers will follow. Until that happens, it will be more profitable, and plausibly only profitable, via the trading forum. So, Jangalang, I will not obey your disrespectful warning and, in fact, move that you bring this information to discussion amongst trade mods/assistants to change it. If you do not like what I have said here, or wish to discuss this matter with me further before I continue doing what I know to be correct, I can provide a ventrillo server for us to have a conversation on, adult to adult. Thanks for your time in reading this, but don't waste mine again. Have a happy new year.
Sincerely,
Mike

If you would learn as well as everyone else, if all of you people looking for services or offering services would go into myevents, then it would go by smoothly, but people rebelling thinking
that we should allow services in trading grounds are just asking for Paul to delete MyEvents and not let ANY Services allowed AT ALL in the trading grounds or on jsp, be thankful for that forum.
Be patient, there have been 10s of thousands of completed services in the MyEvents and it will grow.
And continue to to post outside of My Events, you will be warned and put on vacation.
The rules are not mine, I just enforce them.

You've said nothing that I did not cover already. Please reread what I wrote and focus on the part that it's about the customers. If you move the customers, the service providers will gladly and immediately follow in order to continue earning forum gold. I am not 'rebelling,' and don't insult me by using a term for a dysfunctional teenager again. I was here when services were not allowed at all. I was also here when trusted members were the only ones allowed to offer services (and I was a trusted tagged member). I am not asking for the 'events' section to be closed. I am pointing out that attempting to close all threads about services will be futile until the customers are given a good enough reason to move to the events section. Sure, warns and temporary bans can be issued, but who do you think you're kidding? This is not real life. It is free time between semesters (grad school) for people like me. It is free time between high school semesters for most. Those who treat this as real life are the minority. At one time I did as well, and was rewarded with my trusted tag for advising confused early teens about relationship issues. I went to college and started seeing flaws in the jsp system, such as the one we are currently discussing, and pointed one out privately to the moderators and was stripped of my tag for it. Your threats are nothing new.The process of pointing out flaws and finding ways to mend them is the only way to effectively repair any system, be it as insignificant as a video game forum or as complex as a national government. I've handed you the keys to change it, now for a second time. Will you ignore it again, continue to threaten me, and insult me again? -Probably. However, I hope that you will see what I am inferring and feel motivated to make a change. Here's one idea that will work: provide benefits for using the events section. For those seeking events, provide free services from time to time. For those offering services via the events section, provide forum gold (it is what they're looking for anyway). Believe me, if you were to offer 50 or 100fg per g rush run through the events sections for a short time (recurring 'randomly,' but aligned with times of populus influx, summer and winter, so as to push their attention toward the events section), people would do it. Even partial or complete reimbursement of payments for service recipients via the events section would be convincing.
I haven't lost all care for this site, but you're not currently on the correct path to personally win my heart or mind, Jangalang.
Almost forgot to cover the '10s of thousands comment'- how many of those do you think fall into the category of people posting links to their events via a thread (or multiple threads) in the trading forum? I suspect it's 90% or higher.
Sincerely,
Mike

Im getting tired or reading a wall of text, I have already told you what you need to stop doing. Again
They are not my rules, and if you have a suggestion about fixing this in MY Events, do not continue to
post these topics in the trading grounds, Im just doing my part enforcing the rules.

If I have a suggestion, do what exactly? You're incomprehensible statement is unfinished and abruptly interrupted by another statement. Lest you forget, you contacted me with a threat and I responded intelligently instead of the usual useless teenage angst-injected, psychobabble that passes for commonplace demeanor around here.
Your lethargy is speaking volumes for your lack of concern for what you do.
You insist upon enforcing a rule which is founded upon a fundamental flaw. I've provided reason to you that it is clearly illogical to obey it under the current circumstances (you need only spend a single minute actually monitoring the trade forum threads to see that I am correct, evidently something you do not bother to do) and your response is that you're just doing your part. What part is that exactly? I go so far as to construct a basic outline for a program to correct the flaw and alleviate this paradox and you treat me with disrespect. You imply as if I am burdening you to read a novel. Is it too difficult to read anything more lengthy than the words "Double Cheesburger" on the register at work? Where are your manners? I've decided to share this and let others judge your behavior, as well as the suggested program to increase effectiveness of the events section.

-As a side note to readers, the 50fg-100fg short-term incentive could probably still be effective even if reduced to 20 or 30fg, give it a try and see what it takes to do it. The length of time to host this incentive program would also be trial and error, but I would start with one week each season and see what happens.

-Sure, I could've been a bit more polite too.

I don't think we need to pay people for obeying the rules
