A system that has a few steps to send fg would decrease the amount of scams, or atleast make it easier to lock the scammers. This system would work almost the same as the old way. You would click on the persons gold, then type in the amount. The gold would be sent to a "holding tank" on jsp. This fg woudn't be sent until the sender and sendy both confirmed it. Then the person with the items would take a couple s/s and hand over the items. Last both people would confirm. Now you must be thinking how will that help at all? The scammer could just cancel the fg. Well it could be made so only a mod could cancel it. And if the person who gave the items has s/s of handing over the items, the mod can send the fg to the person who was going to get scammed but wasn't! The mod would decide on to send the fg back or to the person depending on the s/s of the trades and stuff.

Now you must be thinking this would just make the mods jobs harder then they are already. But this system would decrease the work in s/a, why am i locked, trade meds jobs, and the repay meds jobs. All around, i think this would actually make mods jobs easier!

People wouldn't try to scam like this because you really can't unless the person giving the items didn't take s/s. This system would decrease scams and make mod jobs easier.

I have no clue on whether this would be hard to implement though.

It would be in a holding tank. There really wouldn't be a going first. The mod could make the person give the fg with s/s that says the person gave the items. And why would scammers even try if it would be so hard to scam... so the mods probably wouldn't have to deal with it that often.



People say meds take forever. Some people don't even know how to use them.

Scamming is easy because people are so dumb.

I never found the current system to be a problem.
If I had even a little doubts about the person I was trading with, I either requested a mediator or didn't trade, unless the person was willing to go first.

Even the hardest password becomes the easiest when the person is dumb enough to give it away (yes this forum has people like that), so the problem isn't in the system.

Not dumb, but ignorant. The majority of scammed users are newer ones who don't know how to use this site. This system would help everyone though. From small 5 fg trades, to huge 15k trades. You are a safe trader, but most people aren't. This would help them out.

Scamming will always exist, so will corrupt users who use programs such as proxies and scam on the behalf of others or themselves

Use a mediator.

This is essentially the attitude you are going to run into when you try to bring up any discussion or even just ask simple questions about the scam accusation/prevention tactics to the mods. At least that's all I've gotten.

They are just going to say 'use a med' (because they know people won't do it) in order to absolve themselves of the responsibility of instituting changes which could improve the system.

This saves them alot of time and effort.
