I would strongly disagree with you.
As a mediator, there are massive and severe risks involved with mediating this user events. The format of the event system is extremely user unfriendly in terms of you do not know who comes, goes, joins the event, exits the event, discharged from the event or sabotages a game.
This puts trusted users in a very awkward and vulnerable position. Also, the event system has limited the way services can be present making formal service being hosted nearly impossible especially for things that do not user "uber levels" such as Classic Diablo 2.
As for a user perspective, especially myself as a former service host, the event system forced me to stop hosting and making services due to the restrictions and forced position of settings. There is no longer open concept or controlled concept to lay down a foundation to run a civilized service.
If you are one who would like to offer services, and is with out a "Trusted" tag.
Its difficult at best to offer in return for Fg that you may or may not recieve.
Hypothesis:
If you meet the criteria to offer any services. (Criteria set by a D2jsp supervisor and or moderator)
Join date and post count should be considered.
Along with the amount of Fg they have.
You should be able to set the rules as you are in care , control or custody of the services or situation.
In my humble opnion, there should be a limited set of requirement for what services you wish to offer.
I think they should revamp the tags and have a tag just for services (meets the said qualafications/spefications of supervisor/moderator)
For the one who has a service to offer
Shall have a Set of rules that are to be implimented and
Shall have a policy to follow.
And
Shall make that information known and stated along with the "services thread"
i.e.
Gubers prices / lvl
per/ hour
no casting any spells (auras, battle commands, summons ect.)
No talking unless you use the "Over head chat feature"
no refunds/ yes refunds
Then to have that information and or plan checked and questioned by a D2jsp supervisor for any flaws or defects.(for a nominal fee, cause nobody's time is for free)
If the service in its entirety is up to Par, the individual should be entitled to offer his services at his discretion with a handy dandy tag for such services.
And maybe even need to pay a monthly fee to maintain there "Trusted services Tag"'
It has both potential and liability,
Enjoy
