1: if a user elects in his profile/site settings, then s/he can just not see any post that has been reported as spam.

2: any post reported as spam (and the thread is subsequently closed by the mods for spam) does NOT count to the poster's total...

dont whine that #1 is a siteload issue unless you are paul or ct. it would be practically nothing more than the "inappropriate post content" block that's already there.

i don't think it would reduce spam posts by a significant amount.

in #1, its kinda irrelevant whether a mod has acted or not. if he has, the thread is most likely closed. but ur right, it's kinda iffy for the 1st one, but MOST that are reported as spam, ARE spam. not all. MOST.

but the other one, where "confirmed spam" postings do not count for the posters post count, WILL help, at least some. im 04, with 3k posts. i dont spam. ive seen 10/09's with 10k posts. tell me they dont spam. if it didnt go to count, they might slow down some. at least these *stupid* "+1"'s might slow up...
