I think it would make trading faster. Would also allow friends/guilds to chat in real time vs waiting on post replies/ messages

Isnt that what D2 Channels are for? Their already more or less an instant messanger, No need for it in my opinion

I think it would make it easier to scam and harder to punish scammers, so... nein.

Well, that too. People could easily annoy people with it and spam the hell out of them >.> I mean.. I admit that's probably what I would do. Spam the hell out of people >:].
