As I'm sure you have noticed, HC East has had a very hard time integrating the My Events system into their gaming on this website. I do not know if the other realms/ forums are having the same difficulties, but HC east still posts tons of Uber/ Bumper/ Grush threads in the trading forums - just like they used to. Now I have no problem with the event system, since I can see you are obviously not going to go back to how it was.

But imagine it from our perspective. I post up a Grush, daily, for the last 3 weeks. People filter in over the course of the day (I usually get 4-5 people posting over the course of an entire 8 hour work day) and I can grush a fraction of them. Unfortunately, many will leave my event during the course of the day, because someone will post GRUSH in the trading forums and steal my leechers. So those of us who actually follow the rules get ripped off by those who break them. Earlier today I tried to post a free grush in the trading forum - since I can't win anymore using your events system.

Your mods will close threads that offer or need grush/bumpers/ services seemingly in a completely wanton fashion. For instance, one person's grush thread may be closed while another left up - since there seem to be no mods that are specifically assigned to the East HC Ladder Trading Forums. This may be a large part of why the HC East community is so vehemently rejecting the new events system. You follow the rules you get crushed.

Suggestions: either EVERY SINGLE Grush/ Ubers/ Bumper thread needs to be closed 24/7 - thus forcing people to use the events system and giving people that play by the rules a fighting chance, or else it seems like we may have to go back to the way things were. I am always open to other suggestions, I do very much like being allowed to offer services even without a trusted tag. Maybe I missed another solution?

I tried a little experiment, just so you can see some scientific data on the Events system. I posted "Free Grush" in there, and left it up for the last hour. 5 people posted. When I offer a free grush in the Trading Forums - I get it filled in 25 seconds. This is a huge problem.

Nothing will be done about the New Events, Its staying there no matter what.. So might as well get used to it and get all your buddies into it also -- Give it time it will grow.

Edit: Plus you should look on the bright side of this, We have been given new rights, we can now host services through the New Events system! Without the tag

No offense, but please read my post again. This is EXACTLY the problem - no one is using it, so even if I want to, I cannot. Please at least present a solution if you want to post : /

My bad I re-read it -- Agreed that there needs to be more action on people posting in trading grounds for services, Best thing to do is report it, And let a mod get to it.. But nothing will be stopping people from doing so, Alot of rebels on these forums

Just give it time, people will get used to it.

I know what you're saying though, don't get me wrong, it is annoying at the moment.

Well i agree with what your saying. You can't stop people from posting these, no matter how HARD you try they're will still be people who will brake the rules.

The My Events section was put in place to get MOST of all the offering services there.

If you see lots of topics from the same user just report them to a TM - they will do it accordingly.

Unfortunately, in HC East, you are lucky to see more than 3 people posting an Event at ANY time of the day. The other problem we have right now is that it's not a few 'people who break the rules' or one or two 'rebels on these forums', it's everyone. The exceptions are the people following the rules. So it's impossible to get together an event with any kind of alacrity. Also, without some kind of real consequence for posting in the trading forums, it's not likely to stop soon or just be 'annoying at the moment'. This behavior will continue ad infinitum.

Well not exactly the optimistic outlook I'm going for, but basically true. This just further proves the point, without some sort of real consequence, this behavior will not be modified.
