Fact: Diablo Forums(May be true for others? not sure) = Too Much Spam
Fact: Serious Traders, who would like their trades to be in top 50 without early bumping would like to see their topics there longer than it is.
Fact: Spam Threads are always created, no matter what. Warns are very random and spamming won't achieve this. Also creates alot of work for mod/med etc.
Fact: Everyone has spammed (hopefully not mod/med etc)
What Needs to be accomplished: A Never closing, never locked spam thread which is statically locked into position #1 of each subsection of the forum
-Specifically: For Sections that are known to have spam threads on a regular basis (ie: d2 forums). And not for forums that doesn't need (ie: ladder slasher forums)
Technical Details that needs to be worked out:
-user posts porn/illegal links containing trojans > instead of deleting the whole thread only delete the post
--that user repeatedly posts the above > ban or temp ban immediately
-there is a 30 second posting period for all users. for the spam thread let the delay be longer than 30 seconds. (mod/meds you decide)
-if possible maybe a filter can be coded into the spam thread.
-limit the size of picture's that can be upload, dimensions? size in kb? (mod/med/etc decide)
-users that spam elsewhere will be reprimanded with severe consequences. If Jsp gives you the freedom to spam in a particular section then you should stick to it.
so what do you guys think? there are probably many minor/major details that need to be worked out but i think i got all the main concepts. feel free to express your opinions and what can be added to further this idea.
thanks

we have a whole forum for it called general chat. No need a spam topic in each forum as well..
but spam threads are created regardless, i think the concept of that is lets say im a US east softcore non ladder user, i would like to stick to my so called "peer-interest" group, why spam in a general chat where there would be more people that are unrelated to you. why should i bother deviating from my "peer-interest" and spam about d2 related stuff in a ladder slasher forum. there would be no related feedback from a group of people you have no peer-interest with. (varies from what spam is about)
