I know even the most basic things can be a stretch for the administration @ d2jsp, but here goes nothing.

Why not....now make sure you follow me with this one....why not......... ACTUALLY ENFORCE ALL OF YOUR TRADING RULES?
Namely:
# Do not trade hacked / duped items on any ladder forums. (trading these items in signatures / profiles is also not allowed).

Jewel sellers on East Ladder (and id assume across ladder realms as well) are allowed to run rampant, even tapping the low level dueling market whose dedicated community members try so hard to keep clean. The most blatant examples of such inept moderation, and of course grotesque irony, are seen in the threads where dupers try to sell their duped shit in the LLD trading forum. As any reasonable LLDer would do, they call out said dupe sellers (who often do not advertise their items as such) and make it clear they are unwanted. Of course, Meds will come in, side with the dupe seller, and tell everyone else to cut the spam. +1 D2JSP mod team, +1.

Now, id be naive to expect anything to be done about this, in fact, ive ruled out that possibility. All im looking for really is an explanation of behalf of d2jsp admininstration, and explanation as to why they ignore some of the rules they themselves created.

So?

I agree, but 99% of all players use dupes (hr's, common jewels, etc..) so it'll be all but impossible to ban the selling of such items on ladder forums even though it's against the rules

I do agree completely on banning dupes in the lld trading section though

Then get rid of the rule, at least to be consistent. Does nothing for the image of those who run the show here.

Great idea. Dupers destroy the economy. I wish they couldn't dupe jewels and white items at all to sell on jsp.

Over 90% of High Runes on the Realms are duped. Jewels such as 7/15's, 40/15's, etc are all duped massively as well.

I don't LLD much, but I assume LLD Jewels are duped massively too.

However, the demand for these items are VERY high.

So high, that it is to the point where people are completely willing to trade for these duped items, because they will only remain duped for a matter of seconds, since when they are socketed into an item, they cannot "poof".

If you don't want to affiliate yourself with people who use duped items, join a guild that shares your views and holds private duel tournaments.

Other than that, you don't have the right to tell people what kind of Jewels, Items, or anything they are allowed to use.

Also, since JSP cannot determine what items are duped or what items are legit they cannot control the sale of these items.

The rule is in place to prohibit the sale of items such as bmana small charms, bugged tal armors, and wizardspike gloves on the Ladder forums.

Wait what? You cant very well contradict yourself and expect your argument to hold any weight now can you?

A few are. Thankfully, only a few. That said, this is completely besides the point.

Well no shit. Demand is precisely what drives duping. Thanks for clarifying that sherlock.

And i dont. Thanks for asking though? Again, an entirely irrelevant point.

Oh im sorry..I didnt realize i did that. Oh wait, i didnt. +1 for effort though. I shouldnt have to repeat myself but....Im complaining about rule enforcement inconsistency. Either enforce all of your rules, or remove the ones you dont. Not a very complicated concept.

The rule says "duped items"..period.
Im not going to operate under the assumption that the d2jsp administration means one thing when they say another. And if this is the case, which it does seem to be.... THEN FUCKING CHANGE IT.
