Basically I have people PMing me when they want to add me on the flist. Maybe there could be a PM saying so and so has sent a request to be your friend? That would make it a lot better than to see you have had someone wanting to be your friend for 2 days etc...

Good idea. I believe this has been suggested. I also believe it's not that hard or labouring to check yourself once in a while instead of filling your inbox.
