As a user who regularly visits and is known for posting a lot of news in the Diablo 3 general discussion forum, a lot of spam takes place in this forum.

My suggestion is that at 10% warn, you are unable to post in the Diablo 3 general discussion forum, similar to how you are unable to post in the Love Line forums when you get 10% warn.

Here are the benefits to implementing my suggestion:

1) The users who spam a lot, generally already have at least 10% warn. This alone will weed out a ton of spammers.
2) Users who do spam a lot but do not have 10% warn, will think twice before spamming since if they do get 10% they will be unable to post in the Diablo 3 general discussion forum.
3) It will encourage users who already have warns to remain on good behavior so they can gain access back to the forums they were previously unable to post in.

I ask that users who already have a warn remain objective and do not vote no simply because you have a warn.

It would have a lot less spam, but a bit less discussion.

No:

Could add a lot less popularity to it.

But imo 10% warn - 30% warn = What it should be at.

Hmm you do bring up valid points.

I'm not sure how much discussion would be compromised. I don't think it'd be a drastic difference. Perhaps 20-30% warn restriction is a better number. I'm fine with either.

10 percent us fucking stupid and will never happen, same with just asking it to be for the diablo 3 general discussion.

Anything over 40 percent and you shouldn't be allowed access to outside the trading grounds and stuff would make way more sense.

It has already happened - there are multiple forums, such as Love Line, that users cannot post in with 10% warn or higher.

That's an exception because love line takes a level of maturity 98 percent of people on this forum don't have, and in my personal opinion is just stupid to have on a D2 forum. That would never happen on D3 general discussion.
