sigh...i just spent the last 30mins typing up a brief issues/solutions/externalities SWOT for this suggest and i bumped my keyboard (musta hit backspace) and it cleared my thread....so im just gonna ask re' the issue and see what the response is...if its what i assume it will be (no apparent answer why) then ill post the anaylsis again.

Notes: I am a commerce(acct) / economics(finance) student graduated this year. Just joined to xfer some mid range unqiues i dont want on suggestion of a freind through here. this is the first thing i noticed (as a Com/Econ i guess it just cropped up).

Issue/Question/Suggestion/Possible Externalities:

ISSUE: lack of incentives for members to join, trade, mine/MF to trade, to suggest friends to join, to verbally advertise...etc.

QUESTION: Why is there no Forum Gold buyback from JSP (eg .50c a FG) or say FG Credit system for purcahse of online goods?

SUGGESTION: Do an anaylsis and find a price of buyback that will maximise njaguars profits (PxQ) -

(this is through Increase in Q (quantity members ) not P (price of FG) - eg; P= $10 therefore Q= 20 so that PxQ= 200
BUT!! if P*=5 then Q=60 so that PxQ = 300)

....*obviously under this scheme P of FG will fall indirectly, that is if buy back is (with example) $5 then if FG is $10 , P = 5 (as we assume anyone who buys forum gold at 10, will one day sell it back at $5, but under the assunption that membership increases and so therefore so will profit....<---- look back to example).

IF this system is closed then at anyone time Njaguar can take total gold sold - total possible buyback credit applied = total profits. But again, if MORE members are trading MORE FG, then profits will be larger anyway.

So thats Njaguars incentive, whats ours and why the suggestion?

+ve EXTERNATLITIES FOR MEMBERS:
1) more members me more trades
2) more mmeber interest in trades means faster trading
3) more site support for increase funds
4) a way for members to possibily make a profit for themselves from mining goods online (if they were to make a job of it)
....and on and on.
5) If onlince credit system, possible to purchase goods online at discount with FG

again a small summary, as i couldnt be bothered retyping the one i lost. but seems obvious to me.......
dont forget this site is not that dissimlar to the operations of eebay....and when it said i had to pay for FG staright up but i couldnt resell it, was a little supprised....wheres my incentives to keep operating if i make the characters i want and get bored with d2?

I bet if najaguar does a analysis of his membership turnover he would find members who were very active for years before terminating their accounts, and i high be a high percentage of these 'cash cow' members were turned away purely by lack of interest.

a suggestion and a query :S

I am not trying to pay the site out, be malevolent or undermine JSP operations. But as a graduate of 5 a year programme (that dealt heavily of online commerce) I wonder why no one has capitalised on this. Would greatly appreciate feed back from moderators/people closer to njaguar who could inform me as to why he has taken advantage of this.
