Currently, scammer accusations has an approved list of helpers so that cases can be resolved more quickly by sorting through the information.
As anyone knows who's had the misfortune of being to the S/A section (I've had to make two threads over there

), only the accuser, the accused, mediators, trusted, and helpers can post.
However, some people will feel the need to step in and vouch/post more proof/try and help/etc. causing spam within the thread.
I've noticed on a few occasions (don't want to link to any specific thread) that someone who is NOT an approved helper flame an approved helper because the helper tells them to cut the spam, without realizing they are allowed to post there.
I also don't think that the majority of older users are even aware that there is a list of approved helpers. The first time I was scammed, before the time of approved helpers, another user helped me out who wasn't approved, and this habit has kind of stayed (although it's happening less as people realize the change in rules has occurred).
Furthermore, people will see someone without a tag helping someone (the approved helpers), and think it's okay for them to post, as well, since another "normal" user is posting.
Some people also feel that their topic isn't getting any attention because a moderator hasn't looked at it, when the reality is that someone is there almost immediately to help.
My suggestion is that approved helpers should get the tag:
S/A Assistant...and their group changed to: Approved Helpers.
In this way, they have credibility right away when they visit a topic, instead of the confusion that goes on right now.
