If you have ever posted up a topic in the trade forums only to find out that within less than a minute your topic is now on page 3, you kind of get the idea of what i am referring to. Somebody posts up and then bumps their topic every few minutes until it's either closed, or they give up.

I would propose that offenders of the bump rule be on something along the lines of a 3 strike policy....for example:

1st offense = 1 day no posting privileges
2nd offense = 1 week no posting privileges
3rd offense = 1 month no posting privileges

These "strikes" could be removed if no further violations occur within 30 days of the strike being issued.

This would solve the problem quite quickly, in my opinion, if it was enforced and enforced equally.......as in no one is immune...or above the law.

These concerns were raised today by several traders I know. One noted, amidst his disgust at the matter, that nobody was doing anything about it. It's been my experience in life that if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem......thus, I am proposing a solution.

Please vote and add any thoughts you may have to make our d2jsp experience a better one :)

I like the idea but I think the 1 day/1 week/1month are a little high. Maybe like 4 hours for the 1st offense, 12 hours for the 2nd offense, and 24 hours for the 3rd offense.

I quoted your other post above.

quite honestly more than half the ppl in each trading forum would violate the 1st offense.
even though it makes sense to do something like this, i would say be a bit less harsh.
maybe try 3rd offense no posting privilege 1 day for a start, and once the forum gets used to it move on to more strict rules.

Yea, I tend to lean towards no tolerance policy at times :(
Maybe a lighter touch may be in order

Thats To much of a Servere punishment for Early bump violations
month with no posting?
Maybe just tighten the slack on the boards

I'm still trying to decide honestly.
But its just something the majority of people do.
It seems to me that if something like this was to get passed, alot of people would quit.

If there was some sort on control on the early bumping then this wouldnt be needed.

I would love this, yes, but i don't see it heppeneing when even the current system (warns) isn't used.
