Not sure if this is possible but would be a very nice addition and would reduce a lot of posts that would be solved by looking at the general help unified sticky.

my suggestion is when anyone in the General Help forum goes to create a new topic it will ask them "have you check the general help sticky" with a link to it.

I think this would greatly reduce the posts that are already answered in that sticky.

Seems like it'd be helpful, Maybe they could updated the unified sticky, it's missing a few things, (well actually quite a bit) but nothing's perfect

Would be nice, yet I don`t think that at least half of people would pay attention to it, but simply click "yes". You can come up with some kind of image, what this option would look like. To be something that no one could overlook before posting, make it well visible for people. Eventually two little boxes to mark either "yes" or "no". But that could be uncomfortable for people who post there sometimes asking for help not really related to the stuff included in GHUS. The other option could be like after clicking "new topic" there would be a window showing up with the same question, so you would have to click yes before you get ability to make the topic and write what you want. Clicking "no" would automatically redirect you to GHUS.

Although, I vote No on that one, I don`t think it`s so necessary.
