Hello, I would suggest a button where you can PM all of your friends at one time, so say if you were going to take a break or vacation time for the week, won't be on, it'd be as easy as that, there won't be any need for spam control on it because the people are in your friends list. If we need this put YES if not then exit the topic.

Yes, but there should be an option in settings where you can block this form of messaging, because people could use this to spam.

Why would you be friends with someone that spams you?

Good point, I didn't think it through.

I still think it should be blocked, I block most things like that through facebook from people who send applications and whatever, maybe people do the same with jsp, like "everyone bump my trade list etc"

I don't know, but he does have a point. What if the user had his computer keylogged? Poof! Spam! You should have a way to disable receiving. messages from that sort of thing.

Was thinking about posting this suggestion myself today. Would help when someone changes their user-name, or is going to be inactive for awhile, etc.
