To begin, let me state that this site was built around Diablo 2. Now, Diablo 2 resets its ladder every year so everyone starts off at the same point again. Poor and rich will all be equal. Everyone will be at 0.

So in the spirit of the D2 reset, JSP should also reset its forum gold to honor that tradition. It would make the game alot more fair, and jsp alot more fun too. Everyone will anticipate the JSP reset as much as they do the D2 reset.

Think about it!

I play Maplestory along with Diablo II, why should my forum gold be reset from my income on a different game?

People buy FG. People would be pissed. People worked hard for their FG. People will be pissed.

What about people who don't play Diablo 2 or Ladder Reset? Not fair for them imo.

I was JUST about to say that. I entirely agree with flexNflow: That would be very unfair to those who do NOT play Diablo II, or play Diablo II anymore.
D2JSP is a forum, it isn't a Diablo II trading ground (anymore). The original idea (as all ideas do, they evolve and mutate) behind it may have been that, but it's since changed.

Say I wanted to quit Diablo II for a while: After 90 days I lose my characters/account on Diablo II, and since I don't want to go through the hassle or risk of losing them by logging on every 98 days, I sell my stuff for FG.
Five years later down the road, I want to start playing Diablo II again, since everybody else still does and I want to show my new buddies this old game. Now I have no where to start! But with FG I do!
Of course, the 'economy' on Diablo II may change on a daily basis, you have somewhere to start off. Or perhaps, you want to quit Diablo II and play soley Ladder Slasher, now I can sell ALL my Diablo II gear for FG, and play!

But those are just my opinions, again! I disagree with this suggestion. No offense to: Sin_No_Evil.

Wellll people have bought items with $$$ from other websites and stuff and all their items are going to be reset even though they spent money for it. So it wouldn't be as big deal as you think! I bought $20 worth of FG and I'm perfectly fine with a reset

People from other games should learn to like it just as we like the ladder reset
