Looking at the strategy and guides and Player versus monster section, a better moderation of those forums would be very nice.

I mean the guide section is not really managed well.

it barely contains any real guides, most of them are simple drafdts lacking lots of information.
many guides are in there that don´t deserve the title guide and are not really worthy of being stickied.
no active moderation in those forums

people tend to simply spam the forums
flaming is not punished
mods cannot tell the difference between a normal web page and a forum

I mean one cqan easily improve the forums with some moderators that really do their jobs.

as moderators do this in their free time and we can see that though we have moderators, the forum is a mess

we need more active moderation

if the means that more moderators are needed then so be it.

it will only improve the situation

Mod's stay away from some forums, in witch case happens to be this one
They dont have enough time nor energy to go threw and edit/delete/fix all half assed guides or whatever.

They get bigger brownie points closeing on tradeing sections then forums ment for random posting

"no active moderation in those forums" guides do not need such an active moderation, they are there only to help people with advice and info, and once they're outdated and there's an update on them "Active moderation" will take place .

arx you don´t know how I got my warn but i will tell you since it is only proof of the incompetence of JSP moderators

I used to have 2 links in my signature leading to the indiablo blocking- and speedcalc

so basiccally to 2 webpages
from those pages there was a link in the sitemap to the indiablo forum which also as a part has trade forums, however those are not on the pages that I linked. I did not link to the forums at all
(not to mention that i linked to english calculators on a german website.....)

so basiccally I received my warns because of incompetent mods that cannot tell the difference between a forum and a normal web page


active moderation = posting in the sections, showing that you have an eye on them punishing rulebreaks + preventing some because people know they´re being watched
that way you normally get rid of a lot of spam and stuff like that

to the guides themselves:
moderators have to read them before guides get stickied, right... so basiccally all I see are many guides containing wrong or misleading information and they normally lack a lot of information f.e. one setup for a character build = far from being enough

deletiong 95% of the stickied guides is probably the best thing to do.

How about I name 4-5 people who are willing to moderate several forums and make them better

I mean if being mod is about helping the community and not about some lame ass traing points, and we have people here that don`t care about thise brownie points, then what?

"Been suggested and denied before" pretty much sums it up.

Report the violations and we will deal with them.

As for the guides, just Pm a Junior Moderator about those stickies.
