Well, I find that sometime it is good to be specific with the reason I am reporting someone because the reason my not be obvious to the person evaluating the report.

I recommend a Comment box when reporting to help clear things up.

Ex:
If someone were to report a topic as illegal trading because the person was looking for someone to level them or gain something for their account but have no fg, that would be illegal, correct?
Well, it may not be obvious as to why the report was made because some people do not bother looking at FG and are more often looking at character trading and pin selling.

Also, the quick find search used to look through topics should be more of a google search thing.

Ex: If you type your jsp name into google, most of the threads you have posted in will appear, including past jobs.
I think the same should go for the quick find thread search.
It makes it easier on those like myself to find the thread and hyperlink it in my profile.
It also makes it easy on people looking for a job and want to find out what jobs you've done in the past( or how trusted you are) if you don't do such things as I do.

Another idea is that other users should be able to see what another users warn(s) are for.

This COULD also help seeing how trusted a person is.
The reason I propose this is because some people are not scammer tag/gold locked for SA threads but instead warned.
Sometimes it is just from spam, flaming and other nonsensical things like porn photos.
Others it could be binarary or phishing links which no one likes to click on.
I know I'd never click on a link of someone who has that warn against them.

Let me know of any suggestions to improve my ideas or other comments.

Something I just thought of.

It'd be great if we could kick people out of our threads to prevent them from spamming, flaming or otherwise.

People get so upset on here about not getting a job and they just want to spam, flame, argue and raise hell because of it.
I suggest there be an option allowing a user to kick certain people from his/her thread.
Obviously this option can not be used against anyone in authority.

The rest of the answers to the poll are in any combo you wish:
ex: 2, 3, and 4 or 1, 2, 4 etc...

Not a bad suggestion for a 2009 (not that join date matters).
Though, I think a couple of those have been already posted and are still pending.

yes for 1 and 2 they are good i like that idea but as for:

looking at members warn: wat if they dont want to get this looked at it might be embarrising for them and they might get offended besides warn isnt usually for scamming and such, those usually result in scammer/locked

and kicking from threads thats an ok idea but it might be abbused and players might do this to people just because they dont like them even if they are answer the question in the thread or helping with what they need.

I get where you are coming from on the warns.

As for the kicking part, it is meant for such things.
if a person is already on your block list because you don't like them, what is the point of them being on your thread when they are of no help to you.
Situation: You make a thread offering 100fg for getting 1k yews cuts. You see me in your thread ( you don't like me one bit) you simply right-click on my name and an option will appear to re-direct my browser back to the rs section which also prvents me from looking at the thread again.

An improvement to this idea just struck me.
Since we would already know the names of those we do not wish to post in our thread, maybe this could be used to make a list in the making of the post.
Ex: As you are making a new thread a box ( such as the poll box appears) will be shown so you may list anyone and everyone you do not want to post in your thread.
and if we don't know every name and find someone who is spamming/flaming or otherwise annoying you in your thread, you can always go back and add that name to the list.

yea i said this could be good but what if they person is trying to be nice to you and get you to be friends or some junk because they dont want to fight anymore? because for instance i have had people i rather dislike but they sometimes in the end help me with something.

not neccessary, there are plenty of options as to why you are reporting.. adding a comment box will just make the mods have to look more clearly at the thread... it would be a waste of time.
the mods are already very busy.

Also, the quick find search used to look through topics should be more of a google search thing.
you can do this using various websites.. boardreader for one.

Another idea is that other users should be able to see what another users warn(s) are for.

there have been numerous suggestions for this. all turned down.
what other people are warned for is none of your business.

say you scammed someone, then banished them from your threads....

why is there not a "No for all" option? headscratch.gif
