No. This actually encourages people to place items on the market for reasonable prices. If there was no fee, people would place anything and everything on the market for all kinds of stupid prices.

The fee is fair and I think it should stay.

It also helps eliminate FG from the system, I'm not sure the exact amount but 5% on every item sold is quite significant (helps retain the value of forum gold)
