Well, I hate 4hr times, I work I don't have alot of time to spend on the forums so waiting days to sell crap would suck. 30min would get more face time, and honestly I don't see it having too big of an adverse side effect. Most of the posts are either early bumped by author, or by friend already anyhow. Might actually reduce massive bumps, but who knows. Flame on.

4 hours are short enough. and the rules will not change just because many users break them.

Only thing that's annoying are early bumpers.
Even tho the topics get closed usually, they still bring down the topics which aren't bumping too fast.

I know it won't, I just stated it as a fact, not just to say hey we do it anyhow, so lower the time. I'm saying many of us have real lives and would like to bump more often then once a day.

This has been suggested about 1,434,676,232,650 times and turned down every single time. Believe me. This has been discussed already like 50 quasirillion times and the best answer is obviously NO! Four hours is more than enough. Keep it that way.

Ok, true, but think of this, if it was 30min, most people really wouldn't mind waiting 20min to bump a post, so instead of 3 bumps in 30 min, you would have one. Yes, people are still going to go nuts on some, but it would probably give most an equal footing on first page face time.

and yea, I figured this would get shot down in here, most people who browse this area are good upstanding jspers, just kinda curious to see the margin for the most part.

yes, but more then 30 mins.

maybe 2-3 hours.. i'm ok with 4 as it is now but i can see how it can be difficult if your a busy person
