Basically my idea is this :

Be able to leave a 1 to 5 point feed back on how your trade went with a person. This way, people who do lots of trading can have a visible representation of whether or not they are pleasant to trade with.

So instead of " Trader : Not Rated " It will say " Trader rated 1-5 " based on the average ratings you receive. Obviously only one rating per account/IP address should be allowed, to avoid rigged ratings. This will give new users confidence they can believe in other than just looking at a join date and post count or forum gold to see if the trader is trustworthy. We all know its not any of those that matter, but how other people view you.

Here's a really REALLY rough draft of what I think it would look like, just for fun :

Not sure why the screenshot is of such poor quality, but I'm using Linux temporarily and have no idea what I'm doing tongue.gif

Let me know!

Something similar already suggested and turned down, people can bribe for a rating AND a lot of multi's on here use proxies which makes their IP show up differently so the multi could just make more accounts and rate the same one

Hmm. Then maybe we should add some kind of requirement to be able to rate other users?

I don't come in here too often ( Maybe once a week? ) but I've never seen this posted before. I've seen things similar, but not this really ohmy.gif

Like what possible requirement? Posts wouldn't be plausible, users sell account on other sites so join date isn't, forum gold can be bought so that isn't either

Can't you try explaining instead of posting a negative one-liner in my thread? I thought that was spam, or something.

Not sure, thinking about it now. It's not fair that everyone is considered the same regardless of trade background, really.

no thanks, use a mediator if you dont want to get scammed.
this suggestion will only make another superstitious standard of "which trader should give first".
only 1 scam by the highest rated member will ruin the entire system sleep.gif

Correct entirely ^^
It would open more security holes in the system.
I personally think that if you trade a lot, you are generally known and if you are not - use a mediator wink.gif
