Hi All,
I would like to suggest, especially on trade forums to add ability for topic's owner to be able close his own post.
It also may be done by not direct close of topic, but at least by making request to be closed or add some special flag to topic.
To day search function allow to find all posts and many times you find open topics that not relevant any more.
Or your own topics that not relevant already, ppl find and make unnecessary offers and bump it, or pm you not relevant offers or info.
Also, in some situations, you want make new topic after 4h rule and not bump the old one, but still ppl find it and may up wrong topic.
Well, I understand some withdraws of it of course, for example its open some ability to ppl close their own posts and bypass 4h bump rule,
but its may be solved too buy adding some time post restriction if owner choose to close his post or some another way by approving of moderator.
I hope you will write some explanation when you vote yes or not.

imo its useful whe u failed title or w/e. annoying to w8 for 4hours with a failed topic

i think that meds would not allow u to close ur own topics
u should be allowed to request to close but not close urself
its gives everyone on jsp too much mediator abilities

voted yes for "send a request to close thread " thing this would go into ModQ.

hell no to the 1st option... it will be easily abused to repost the same stuff again and again to get around early bump rule (iso uber, iso grush etc)
while i could vote yes to the 2nd option.
but it must be reviewed by trade mod before it is really closed.
