NEW TAG FOR SERVICE

hm, theres a big problem when offering services like ubertristram leveling in d2.

you can only offer services with a trusted tag. i'm not sure how many trusted users there are on jsp, but its only a small percentage. there are a lot of guys who can (and do) offer good services, and there topics get closed because they are offering a service without a tag (its good that they get closed, because they are violating forum rules ...), but other guys' topics stay open and then they offer crab service and a lot of guys get pissed etc ... you can tell them stupid because they take service from guys without a trusted tag. so now here's my idea:

we need a new tag for services!

this service tag (i dont have a name for it yet ) should be given to guys who PROOFED that they do good services. i think it could work like this:
theres a new subforum for services (which would also clean the tradingforums from ut-topics ...), where one can attend to get a service tag. so heres the clue: they need to have a min amount of post and they have to be member of the forums for some time (to make sure they know all the rules etc). also they cant attend if they do have any warns (even 10%). in the service forums, theres a sticky topic where one can write down his whish to get a service tag, ofc with a little d2-vita where he can prove that he knows the game etc. each attendend's post will then be checked my admins/mods etc to see if the attendeds are possible trusted service guys. if they are, read at 2., if not, read 1.

1. IF ONE DOESNT FIT FOR A TRUSTED TAG IN THE ATTENDEND TOPIC:
- he isnt allowed to post in the attendend topic for at least one month
- if he does, he should get a 50% warn and his gold locked for 1 day/week (dont know yet;) )

2. IF ONE DOES FIT FOR A TRUSTED TAG IN THE ATTENDEND TOPIC:
here comes step 2. after one has proofed himself to be a possible attendend for the service tag,the user gets the ATTENDEND-Tag, he is allowed too offer his service in the attendends forum (lets call it 2nd proofing or something). this is the part where the attendend has to work for his tag:
in his attendend topic, he posts his service (eg ut) and his price. the price should be fixed and theres a price because he has to get a little bit more for his work then the tag at the end. so it would be like ... lets say 5fg for one hour. ONLY guys who themself are allowed to post in the attendend forum can go and use that service (so the attendends are testing each other!).

Attendend offers service -> other attendends use that service -> the attendends post the opinion about the service -> the opinions get collected/checked -> +1 for the attendend or 0 points.

After the attendend has offered a couple of services (lets say 10 maybe more ... ) and collected enough points (10 ...) he finally gets his service tag, which allows him to open topics in the open Service forums, where all guys can take his services, for his prices etc.



I THINK WE NEED THIS NEW TAG, MOSTLY BECAUSE OF TWO REASONS:

- THERES A NEED FOR SERVICES, BUT THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH GUYS WHO ARE ALLOWED TO OFFER THE SERVICES
- THERE ARE A LOT OF ILLEGAL/NOT ALLOWED TOPICS IN THE TRADE FORUMS, WHICH DONT GET ERASED OR PUNISHED AND BECAUSE OF THAT THERES A GREAT LACK OF FAIRNESS IN THE FORUMS, BECAUSE THERE ARE TOPICS WHICH STAY OPENED, AND OTHERS DONT, EVEN THEY OFFER EXACTLY THE SAME

If you're running a service, people need to trust you.
That's what the trusted tag is for.

Definitely not needed.

Problem with this is, that I have NEVER seen trusted's run any kind of ubers where they are selling leach spots.

Maybe if there was at least 1 trusted per realm that actually ran an uber service it wouldn't be a problem, because of the lack of trusted ubers there is a MASS of random users trying to make FG, and only a few of them actually provide a legitimate service. Users are scammed every day because they are provided with awful ubers that don't work out, and the person running refuses to give a refund since "Ubers aren't alowed without a tag", making it trade at your own risk & creating a way for people to scam FG and not get in trouble for it.

Been watching this happen since I joined, not saying I believe in another tag or that this is a good idea. But there is a DEFINATE problem surrounding Uber services.

This has been suggested multiple times, it will not happen.

thx, more then getting a solution for the problem, i wanted to point at the problem itself. i thought posting one POSSIBLE solution would create a discussion about the problem ... am i to stupid or is there a forum where theres a discussion (not a suggestion-topic!!) about the problem?

People use uber trists to level thier characters. Clearly all of the leveling service threads level your characters. It doesn't matter how the leveling is done, the ending result is still the same.
