Hi

My idea is simple.

You see alot of noobs and new players posting, right?
They spam and they early bump etc etc.
So when they get caught on early bumping or so, why not block them from posting for like 5 minutes?
This will reduce the amount of spamtopics and it will slow down big time spammers

Early bumped topics 5 minutes blocked
Offering services without a Tag 5 minutes blocked
Pure spam-topic creaters 10 minutes blocked
When it happens twice in a short period, we could double the times or make it 15 minutes / 30 minutes / 1 hour / 24 hours or anything like that

What do you think about this?
Open for comments and might add/change a few things .

They should ALWAYS get caught, spam posts are almost always reported, imo it is the mods that don't take it seriously enough.

These rules sound good, but they should be reinforced by far harsher punitive measures for repeats of an offense e.g.

First service offering: 5 mins
Second service offering: 30 mins
Third service offering: 24 hours

So on and so forth. Spam needs to be taken more seriously though.

Several suggestions similar to this one have been posted before, not gonna work .

I agree though, spam in the trade forums is annoying as hell and it needs to be dealt with, but there's nothing you or I can do about it.

Good idea about the short periods.

It could work like Warn where you are sort of in a 'red' zone for early bumps or whatever, but then that fades off after a while (like how warn gets removed, just have it set to automatic)



Indeed there is not, but the mods can. This is a possible course of action for them to take to implement harsher punishments?

I like the idea to try to get rid of spammers at least in the trade forums. That is something I have been trying to help for over a year and a half now but seems like I report the same users all the time with no warns or any penalty..

Yes.
I think there should be more Medi's and Trusted people to stop this.
There are thousands and thousands of spammers with like 5 spamtopics a day, not even talking about the posts..
And there are like ~50 TT / Medi guys?
I think they take the spam problem serious, but I can't blame them for it, there's just a too small amount of them to stop it.
