The sigs have been pretty much overboard on this site. It is embarrassing when I'm surfing the forums in a library where other people walk around me and see the lewd sigs that suggest nudity and homosexuality such as killgoreisleet's or jem11299's, and God knows how many naked female sigs are out there...

Please please PLEASE do something about this! Paul, you've recently added filters to Ladder Slasher for crude language. Please do the same for sigs and pictures as well! It is much needed!

I tried turning sigs/avas off and hated it. Turning it off turns my own sig/ava off as well! That really sucks! So I turned it back on... but it's embarrassing when I open up a thread and see killgore's sig right in middle of the screen! Really embarrassing. I know it doesn't really break any rules (it is just a picture of 3 beer bottles after all) but you know exactly what I mean!

This is already implanted, although it cannot be that well enforced over at the Graphic Department we haven't put out anything along those lines, and if you really find them that offensive try turning off your images, and selectively allowing those that you want.

Indeed. One guy had a profile background with like 20 different naked women in there lol. No vagina or nipples exposed ofc.

Normally those don't really bother me, but when I'm in some public place like a library or lab or whatever, where there are other people around, I'd be embarrassed.

Here is a fact that happened to another friend of mine on this site: He was reading a thread and some kid had picture of a naked woman in his sig. His mother looked over his shoulder, saw the sig, and my friend got into huge trouble for "looking at porn site"

But d2jsp isn't porn site, right? RIGHT? Apparently the rules need to be updated a bit...



Turning off images will turn my own ava/sig off as well and I don't really want that. I like having my good ol' ewok avatar up there. My own avatar identifies me, it gives me a face.

If you're that embarrassed to be seen viewing sexually explicit images, or images that display homosexuality, just don't view them in public.
Using firefox, just right click on the image and block images from wherever it's being hosted.

I'm voting no on this, simply because you only provided enough reason that you may or may not be homophobic, and you're embarrassed of these images.
Personally, I'd say who gives a rat's ass what I look at and what's being seen.

As for your friend, just have him stay guard of his parents, so it doesn't happen again, or maybe his parents should be more understanding.

Gosh, people need to get their head out of the fast lanes and sit down and relax a bit.

I would like to be able to visit this site when I feel like it, public or not. Not viewing this in public sounds awkward, as if this site is a porn site or something. But it's a gaming site....

Anyway, whether you give a rat's ass or not does not discard how others approach this issue. Moreover, lewd images are equivalent to vulgar language, and those are not allowed even on tv. Vulgarity is always bleeped out on tv shows. Millions of people do not have a problem with vulgar language at all but that doesn't matter, it is still required by law for these words to be bleeped out.

I'm just comparing this to that. I think Paul should have more strict rules about this, and it will improve everyone's experience on this site as well. Some people might complain but so what, that is just like complaining that words are bleeped out on Ladder Slasher or on TV.

I also get tired of seeing sigs with 3/4 naked women on them. They're all over the place. It's enough that we get bombed with porn on every second website you click on, without having it (or close enough to) here as well.
