Basically a very simple idea that I just thought of as mediators are not always available to help you out and would save them time if it is possible to do and made a paint picture for you guys lol .

To start it off as everyone is aware that getting scammed blows pretty hard, not only because you have to go through the long boring process of trying to get the user tagged, but the the very high chance that you will never see your item/fg again(unless the scammer repays you which is one in a million IMO).

Okay got that out the way, getting scammed blows, so lets just make it so it is not at all possible to scam.

My idea is basically having another Forum gold access point on your little well ill show you a picture instead ---

Well basically this is another forum bank that for the user to click on and "Deposit" if you will money he is going to give another user for a ForumGold vs Item Trade.

The user(trading the FG vs Item) Will click on this link (trading gold under his name) and basically the same little box will come up as if you were going to give someone some forum gold but its like your giving it to yourself. The screen will basically say Deposit amount and The user receiving gold (comment) or Item receiving (I didn't add this in the picture

Basically you type in the amount you are trading and then the user name(which would work like the address book, just type it in and if it is an account it will be set to that account)

Then after all thats typed in you have the little submit button then brings you to the next step.

After you hit submit it basically takes the amount of FG from you and puts it in the other account(Trading gold) i guess you could call it, and it is now set to the other user and maybe a PM is sent to the user saying (XXX) Forum gold transfer is being processed so he knows that you have done this.

After this the other user receiving the forum gold now gives you the Item or w/e it is you are receiving.

wtf???????? Now you can just take it out again.

The catch to this is what ever you decide to put in that trading gold account thing is in there until the trade is completed unless a problem occurs(like you dont want to do the trade anymore or the user doesn't give you the items) mods or who ever is appointed this task can only handle the users trading gold accounts*** and only trading accounts

And after the item is received you basically go into the logs ( maybe like the forum gold logs) and click complete transfer.

Then its done. No way to scam this way. If some1 does try to scam like giving the item and not pushing the complete transfer.

You post in the scammer section or PM whoever is incharge and they will look into it and if you have proof of giving the item he will just send you the gold.

******My point here is that this way the FG will never disappear and can always be returned to the person whos in right.

Edit: You could only do one transaction @ a time with this.

For instances of trying to scam xxxxxx and bbbbb are trading a (xxxxxx has SHAKO) and (bbbbbb has 5FORUM GOLD). bbbbbb loads ups the 5forum gold and sets it to user xxxxxx in his trading gold section. xxxxx receives the message but doesn't want to do the trade anymore.

bbbbb now can pm a mod incharge of the trading accounts or post in a new section for this and have a mod cancel the transaction after making sure all is okay and no item was given.

or if xxxxx gives the item and bbbbb doesnt complete the transaction, xxxxx can post proof the the proper forum or pm a mod in charge with proof of giving the shako and then he will look into it.


I understand this would also cause more work for the mod team but this will in any case prevent scams from happening PERIOD.

hmm and what if the buyer refuses to finish the trade so that the seller can use the gold? then the seller would not have access to the gold...

use mediators to avoid getting scammed, i dont think this would be a solution.

I have traded over 1,000 times on these forums and after you make a thread with items forsale and come to agreement on the price for the item the Trade goes through(sending the fg part) everytime. Its just the problem of being scammed.

I think I said if the user does decide not to finish the trade basically you pm whoever is incharge over this or post that the trade never went through aka you never received the item.
(who ever is incharge can verify this from the other user and if all goes well)

then they reset it and you just get the gold back simply.

Its like the scammer accusations but no scam.

aka you can't get scammed and get to keep your FG instead of you sending the gold to the user and then he decides not to give you the item.

But i see what your saying. that could be stressfull but at the cost of a scam not being able to occur when you have no patients to wait for a mediator?

I think thats a win win for every one

This have been already suggested yesterday.
Will not happen I think, mediator-system works.

i think the idea and i think it will work and if the buyer of said item does receive it but does not click on complete trans then a mod should be able to force trans with proper proof of giving item

imagine how much work for mods this would be... and how can you proof that the other trader received the item or that you didnt receive it? its same like a scammer accusation. i dont see the difference. i'm 100% sure that ppl would try to fake accusations just to get fg back.
and i think ppl would use less medis more scam attempts
