Below is a link to the previous poll which was closed due to off topic posts. Because of this I ask that nobody comment on this suggestion but instead simply vote their opinion. This is a serious suggestion and spam is not welcome. It is unfortunate that I have to make this request, but I see no other way to prevent unwarranted thread closures in the future. Once again, DO NOT COMMENT ON THIS SUGGESTION, ONLY VOTE.http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?showtopic=25902071&f=258Below is the text of the original suggestion,Quote (oscillator @ Tue, 25 Nov 2008, 09:49)

Old posts don't get deleted either, they get moved to an archive. These archives can be accessed from D2jsp (for example, if you bookmark a thread and then revisit it several weeks or months later or if you visit the Archives subforum), however there is no simple way to access the entire year's posts. Only 100 pages of the archives can be browsed, which amounts to roughly three weeks worth of threads. I opine that D2jsp should facilitate access by the entire community to these forums where every old thread and topic is preserved. Furthermore, every month and post of the forum archives should be fully trackable and searchable. After reading several confused posts, I offered the following clarification. The D2jsp archives are classified, and I propose to unclassify and publicize them for the benefit of the community at large,Quote (oscillator @ Wed, 26 Nov 2008, 16:06)
I think you have misunderstood this suggestion. It isn't really intended to assist with revisting a thread that has been viewed recently, it is so that D2jsp users can benefit from six years worth of postings by going back and viewing them all. The archives only allow 100 pages of posts to be viewed for a given year which amounts to roughly three weeks out of fifty two for every year catalogged. Newer and older users alike would be able to take full advantage of D2jsp's history in a way that they are unable to do now.
D2jsp has a long history and it would be to everyone's benefit if traders were able to access this repository of knowledge. The previous poll concluded with 10 votes in favor, 7 votes against, and one abstention. While this reflects a favorable response by a majority of voters, I would like to air the idea out further. Once again, PLEASE ONLY VOTE DO NOT COMMENT. I would not like to have another thread closed due to some user's juvenile impulse to spam.I also ask that you vote for this idea based on its merits, not your personal opinion of me or whether or not you think it has a chance of being implemented. The Site Suggestion subforum is supposed to reflect things as they should be, not as they are likely to turn out. Thank you for your patience and your vote.
