not all of us are mediators, when i pm a jr mod, i get ignored
when u pm a jr mod u get help right away.

Commerce, your poll illustrates this well. When 90% of the voters are agreeing with the idea that there should be a block list it is pretty hard to justify not doing so. No disrespect to to intended at all to your conclusion Dawwghogg , but very few of us can deliver requests as effectively as you can, given our general lack of power. The prospect of punishment is basically non-existent for spamming in a regular users guild topic(s). I probably delete over 10 posts per day in the one we have.

Obviously I voted yes on this. GL with this Commerce.

I'm going to say no, simply because creating a block list wouldn't solve the problem.

A block list for a PM stops a user from harassing you in one way communication.

Guild topics are either public, or guild only - if someone spams, flames, etc, you report it and they get taken care of - if you were to just block them, they would move on to the next guild topic and do the same (or something of this sort).

explain how it wont solve the problem?
why waste the mods time reporting it when u can simply block them.
and people who spam guild topics have something against a certain member, they dont just go from guild topic to guild topic trying to flame people lol.
u wont become a mediator just by siding with them

I beg to differ, I have not been a mediator forever, when I was having issues in my guild chat I was just a plain member, and the mod's would respond to this type of problem, here is a good example..

Post#2 as you can see by looking at the guild member list, none of the members in that guild are trusted + I'm not saying that your idea is a bad one, just that there are other simple ways to resolve the issue without Paul having to do a lot of coding and what not.

1 example does not really provide any sort of an argument
i have pm'd JM's like tcl regarding personal harassement, users bypassing the block system by sending constant messages attached with .01 fg, and nothing gets done
im sure u can get 1 mod on a good day and get help, but likelihood of getting help whenever needed right away is very slim
mods are busy, this system helps save there time on insignificant unwanted spam.

/e lol @ 5 month old pinned post as well.

i find offense to your opinion,
just because you dont know someone or something or uneducated in the social aspect of the reputation of each individual it doesnt mean they arent trusted,
but if you mean by trusted tag, then i take back my response, but even some trusted tag users are bm.
friends can become enemies and enemies can become friends at any given moment, depending on your ethics on a forum site for a pc game it really doesnt matter in the end because anyone can become anonymous and are basically so, things can easily be forgotten over time or diluted in how much it actually matters or how it effects your actual life.

Honestly I don't think this is needed.

Moderators do a fine job and keeping the forum clean and if there is a legitimate reason it's almost always handled.

For example, when I was in syndicate and there were no tagged users including myself someone posted in out guild chat, was warned not to, posted again and then was slapped with a nice 10% from Paparick half hour later --> http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=18483242&f=42&o=2170
