Yeah, Because first time i had 4 invites.
At the moment i just got 11 friends in my friend-list here on jsp, my closest ones,
I don't really need more, but its should been great if you get a pm when someone add you to their friend-list

Exactly, what if we didnt get a pop up and and "new message text" in the inbox?
Then we would never knew if we got a new message or not, same in this case with friend adds.

the only way it could work is that you can turn it on/off
and still, it will probably affect the site load

moreover, it is just Not that hard to check your profile once per day or once every 2 days

spammers could abuse that system and add many many people so they can spam them with private messages.

so I don't like it that much, sorry
