I'll point out/re-iterate a strong objection before casting a positive vote:

If it's only for xfering it can be useful, otherwise, for a trade, as we need both traders to agree, it's kinda hard if the thread is closed (as you said in your first post)

This is very important imo. It shouldn't be overlooked as a potential problem.
Something I like about the idea: it make it so that early reposts won't be made in soem cases. It gives traders a chance to get a Mediator despite a closed topic. They can already do this if they don't forget to track their topic and communicate with the other trader, but the suggestion would make this process faster and easier for less organized traders. I'm still worried about the objection given by Amaury and others, but I'm not voting against the suggestion because there are some potentially interesting benefits, too. Neutral for now.
To Amuary's quote, as PM is forbidden due many problems, it isn't going to happen in the theory so if the thread maker knows a guy is interrested, it's because they got in contact through PM.
So if they want to trade the topic maker needs to wait the time if he has broke a rule, or he can repost right away if it's because of 60+ replies. After that he is able to request a mediator.
