If you forget to bold it its not very difficult to PM a TM, TA, or even some moderators (zackaria_dki) to have them lock the thread so you can repost. This is like asking the site to spell check for you. Really wouldn't be useful and would be a waste of time. Just get it locked and repost. This also may cause avoiding the bump rule.
Bad idea imo, no use at all.

Both are wrong.
I have asked TM's to change topic titles for me when a typo was made.
Never tried to ask about bold/red/italics. not sure if it is possible or not.
I have asked a mod to close a topic for me though so I can repost a thread. (forgot the reason)
However, the problem I ran into was "You can not repost a topic for __ amount of time to prevent future violations"
It seems like a bug.
