Okay well I think I pretty much proved my point over mr. all big font. I still think my suggestion is great and would be great if implemented even though some people proved a few good points against it.

If you're refering to the "race" to the top of Ladder on Diablo II, that's a whole other story! I'll assume that's what you meant, as such: Let's say you don't reset the forum gold. Everybody who played Ladder, has good/bad items, they can pawn them off on D2JSP to non-ladder players for a cheap price... OR a hefty price seeing as how it's Ladder-only items being traded. :) Even if you don't make a whole bunch of forum gold from the change, you still made some, and every little bit counts!

Clearly this idea is absurd, however, they could come up with like Ladder only FG or LFG, which would be only for the new ladder, that way regular FG could still be used for regular D2 and other games. Then you'd have to come up with an exchange rate for FG to LFG, similar to wow gold to FG, but it's do able. This still gets stupid if you carry it out all the way and then you end up with FG of 20 different types for each game, when the beauty of FG is to have a cross game currency/value. *shrug* I doubt it would be changed and hope it won't, but kicking around ideas does make for interesting conversation :)

Look at that, a new idea spun off of it already, and I like it! L.F.G..! :) OK, not really. I just like the fact that you came up with a new idea, one that meets half-way.
There could be like a 'conversion-rate' that would benefit non-Ladder players, to encourage them to play Ladder, which would help (I think)... But the system is fine as it is, that's just how I see it.
