one of the good reasons for not letting the creator close the own thread but have it always go through mods

one of the advantages to be able to get a clean close of post would be to avoid conflicts with the 2 posts in the top 50 rule, while it may not concern the majority of forums with plenty of activity, just look at softcore/hardcore asia, classic and (at times) west hardcore - can take more than 4 hours to get 50 new posts on those

they dont have the right to close there own threads!

they use the report button to report themselves and ask for there topic to be closed

it saves time pming mods and save mods time reading pms and going to the topic and closing

all they'll have to do is check the mod que and it will be there just like the mediator que with the request a mediator function
