In that case, It sounds like a great idea.

And your disadvantage doesn't really matter because when they request a mediator, they need to show the topic where the trade was made.
If the user hasn't posted yet, you just refuse to mediate

If the thread got closed, it got closed for some reason, so why even get a med? If it got closed for something that the creator didnt do, than just remake a thread again.
