In real life when you loan money, its not a criminal offense if you dont pay it back. You just are more of an asshole toward them.

Even if you burrow in banks, the take what ever you put up as collateral.

actually, idk if it's every state but from what i seen personally, you can take someone to court if they don't pay you your money back as long as you have solid evidince of the loan... and if you do they are required to pay you back or they get in trouble with the law afterwards so not quite sure if you even know what you're talking about. lol

anyways, this isn't real life btw

no, jsp is not responsible for who you decide to "loan" your fg to. If you decide to risk loaning fg to someone it is entirely on you.

you are so silly, this is the point of the suggestion, to change this fact. tongue.gif

its hard to say

guess you only do it with people you trust or know well

null

you can also consider this paying back a loan a gm/bm thing

its bad not to pay it back but there is not law saying you must do it

voted no, would be abused i think. i loan lots of fg to others /atm nearly 5k fg), but they are 100% trustable in my eyes. if they scam me (which will not happen), it is my fault and my problem.

I like your attitude.

Voted No.

you have a personal responsibility to make decisions of how to spend your fg.

If you trust someone enough to make a loan with no collateral that is your perogative.

If you do not trust them or would feel more comfortable, get collateral or do not make the loan.

This would be very difficult to prove and it would add more overhead to the SA forum and the Mod team.

it would be a subforum in the s/a forum maybe? i dunno.. it's REALLY easy to get proof.. all you would need really is for them to say (before fg is sent) i am borrowing xx fg and what not then you have your gold logs after they tell you in PM they are borrowing it. smile.gif you're right though, it IS our responsibility to spend our fg wisley but for people that like to help out others.. and they can't because they are afraid that they will be scammed without the mod team caring is kind of not good imo. heh.

D2JSP should create a loan-log, to keep track of loans lent/deadline of the loan. This way theres enough proof to lock the scammer, and loaning is 100% safe.

So..somewhat yes from me.

Proof is always the problem. For starters, not all the mods can read the PM boxes... very few can, I think. The obvious solution is to post in a thread, and then... what?

I missing something here then, let's say you "loan" me 1K FG to buy something. I buy it, then decide I don't want to pay you back. Congratulations, you've locked me, but I still have your item and the FG is lost.

If you REALLY want to get into law, you can take them into small-claims court if it's under a certain amount. If it's over a certain amount, then you're spending more money and time on a crappy situation.

Edit: Accidentally hit Post Reply...

Anyway, I don't think a loan exists on D2JSP. If you give someone FG without getting something in return, you hope that you will get it back. As has been stated before, the same thing has been repeated several times... I looked through your SA thread, but since all the pictures were deleted, I couldn't figure out much of what happened... Seems like you 'loaned' 1K FG to someone who spent it on a RL item and never repaid you. Being scammed sucks, but the solution isn't to outlaw something, it's to use your common sense and judgment.
