im actually a fan of flood control, when i was a mod i found myself double posting awkwardly when it wasnt intended. maybe a very low flood control like 5 seconds would accomplish the same thing, but i really dont have enough to say in 2 different threads in the 30 seconds or so it is right now anyway, so might be a bit overkill

If I had to estimate how many retired mods still actively post (1+ per day), I'd say maybe 10-15. So, the impact this would have on the site would be next to none. On the other hand, every benefit given to each user group has been done so to serve a specific purpose related to the nature of the rank, such as dealing with warn removal requests from the old warning system, for example. Sure it would be nice to have, but I could think of several perks I'd want to have on my account that are not related to my responsibilities on d2jsp, and that isn't really fair to Mr. Average Joe d2jsp (which is what you wanted to be when you retired, right?).
