Yes, wouldn't hurt the site load, it's OPTIONAL, I would personally love it, and I know many other users would too. If satisfying users is bad- No, yes.

I also think the 'trash' is useless, when I delete a pm, I want it deleted, not sent to another folder...I think there should be an option to "Shred."
