blasphemy. well i like the idea, but i dont like "read only". blogs should be commentable. just ignore the people being completely off topic, they will get what they deserve eventually~

The "read only" function would be useful to the users who use their user blogs for design in their profile / friends such as donation lists / guild announcements or anything else that obviously wouldn't require replies. So I'm tempted to say that this would only be a problem for users who choose to spam but I'm sure it's safe to assume that there is a very profound reason that you would need to post in a topic that couldn't possibly have a relevant reply.
